HomePrivacy Policy

Nuage Digital ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from visitors to nuagedigital.net and clients of our services, how we use it, and the choices you have about that information.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you fill out our contact form, book a call, or become a client, you may share your name, email address, phone number, company name, and details about your business. If you become a client, we collect the financial and operational data required to deliver bookkeeping, payroll, tax, and marketing services.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, we automatically collect standard log data (IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, time spent) and usage data through cookies and similar technologies.

2. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality and analytics. Specifically:

  • Google Analytics 4 — measures site traffic and user behavior. Google's data-processing practices are described in Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Ads — measures conversions from our advertising campaigns.
  • Google Tag Manager — manages the tags used by the tools above.

We have enabled IP anonymization for Google Analytics. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by using your browser's Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control setting.

3. How we use your information

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide requested information
  • Deliver the services you engage us for (bookkeeping, payroll, tax, marketing)
  • Send administrative and service-related communications
  • Send marketing emails you can opt out of at any time
  • Analyze site traffic to improve our website and services
  • Comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax reporting)

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

  • Service providers that help us operate (cloud hosting, email delivery, analytics, accounting platforms). These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Government agencies when required for tax filings or subpoenas.
  • Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets.

5. Data retention

We retain client financial data for the periods required by US federal and state tax law — typically at least seven (7) years. Contact form submissions from non-clients are retained for up to two (2) years.

6. Data security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including TLS encryption in transit, access controls, and regular audits. No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Depending on your state or country of residence, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Opt out of marketing communications
  • Opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information (California residents, under the CCPA/CPRA)

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@nuagedigital.net.

8. Children's privacy

Our services are directed to businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be announced via a notice on our website or by email.
